The hotel provides practical amenities such as complimentary Wi-Fi and free parking, making it suitable for guests seeking a convenient and no-frills stay. Although the rooms are not air-conditioned and there is no on-site restaurant, the property is smoke-free, accessible, and both pet- and kid-friendly.

Guests have noted that rooms with lake views provide a peaceful environment, praised for their cleanliness and comfort. While the lack of an on-site restaurant means breakfast must be purchased separately, there are nearby dining options including a pizza place and Subway within the same building, as well as a selection of places within walking distance. The surrounding area includes lakeside walks and shopping facilities, offering visitors easy access to local attractions.

Check-in is from 3 pm and check-out by noon.

Reviews highlight friendly and helpful staff, with some guests recommending selecting a room on the first floor with an odd number to secure a better lake view. While the hotel’s simple features meet basic needs well, guests looking for more extensive amenities like a pool or fitness center may find this property limited. Overall, it provides a practical choice for visitors prioritizing location and value over luxury.

Nothing to complain about here. Immaculate room 111 with views over the lake, make sure if possible to pick an odd number on first floor to give the views. Room had sufficient facilities but no hairdryer. Plenty of shower/ Hair wash supplied and tea/coffee facilities were ample for the single night stay. Small wall hung television with plenty of channels and radio too. Very clean room. In the immediate area is a Brewers Fayre pub and a McDonald's and the shopping village is minutes away. There is also a subway takeaway next to the travelodge. Very nice disabled friendly rooms... Lifts are provided and reception is on the first floor. Visited boxing day for one night.

One of my favourite Travelodges and I have stayed at many! If you are lucky you might get the lake view or you could always choose your room on the Travelodge website (great for people watching). Every staff member I have encountered here are super friendly, approachable, helpful and are a credit to the company. The rooms have always been clean, cosy and comfortable. Furthermore, we have always had a great night's sleep here.

Staff were nice and friendly and the location is lovely, overlooking the lake. It's a very quiet location to stay outside of the city centre, and there are plenty of food options in the area and a big Asda. My only quibble was that the bath was tiny so was really uncomfortable to be in, and I'm only 5' 3", so I don't take a lot of room! If I can't fit comfortably , you might as well scrap the bath and call it a big shower. Other than that though, the room is basic but comfortable.

Beautiful location by the lake. If you can get a room with a lake view it is breathtaking. On a negative note, there is no on-site restaurant so breakfast is a no. Hotel offers a breakfast box, but it is not the same. There is a nice pizza place located in the same building and a Subway. For more food option you need to take a 10 mins walk or a short drive.

Fantastic location next to the lakes for walking and close to shopping area. Standard Travelodge rooms and pleasant service from the staff. Highly recommended even if just for the location. Dog friendly was a massive bonus.

Can't believe this is a travel lodge. The rooms that face the Lake are amazing Beautiful tranquil. Newly decorated. Plenty of parking good Italian restaurant and subway on site and close to the main Lakeside shopping area. The staff are friendly and efficient, the cleanliness is first class. Must be one of the best travel lodges in the country. Highly recommend

Our 2nd stay here. Reception are very welcoming. Can't fault the room.Paid the £3 extra to choose our room and chose a lakeside view. And woke up to a beautiful pink rainbow. Buy even the car park view isn't so bad, as realistically how much time do you spend looking out for an over night stay. A wonder down by the lake is a must if you have time
